Children & FamilyMy name is Mariana, and I write this with my heart shattered over my baby Gael.
Gael is only 6 months old. He should be growing, smiling, moving his little hands, and discovering the world in my arms. The day he was born was the happiest moment of my life.
A few months later we received news that destroyed us. My baby was diagnosed with neuroblastoma, an aggressive cancer that affects young children and can progress very quickly. Since that day we have lived with fear, pain, and the anguish of not knowing if we will be able to save him.
Gael is so little that he cannot tell me where it hurts. He just cries, grows tired, grows weak, and looks at me as if asking for help. There are moments when I hold him and break down inside because I am his mother and I cannot take away his suffering.
He should be sleeping peacefully and feeling safe. Instead, he needs doctors, tests, medications, hospitalization, treatment, and urgent surgery to fight the cancer.
Doctors explained that if he doesn't receive treatment quickly, the disease could keep advancing and put his life in danger within a few months.
We are a humble family and were not prepared for this. We don't have money to pay for everything he needs, and every day that passes without treatment feels like time is running out.
Any donation can help us with his surgery, medications, tests, hospital costs, transportation, and urgent treatment. If you cannot donate, share his story and leave a prayer for Gael. 🙏💔
