My name is Katherine Miller and I am asking for help for my dog, Ollie.
Ollie is my baby, my best friend, and he's been by my side for years. He has slept near me, followed me all around the house, comforted me when I cried, and given me his love in moments when I felt completely alone.
But now I'm watching him suffer, and it's tearing me apart.
It all started with small changes. Ollie seemed tired, confused, and no longer himself. Then, one day, his body suddenly began to shake. He became weak, scared, and disoriented, and I froze because I didn't understand what was happening. I held him in my arms while I cried, repeated his name, and begged him to stay with me.
Since then, he has been suffering seizures and stroke-like episodes. One moment he's here with me, and the next his body starts shaking uncontrollably, his gaze goes blank, he can barely control his movements, and I feel helpless watching my baby suffer in front of me.
Every time it happens, I think I'm going to lose him.
I've already spent everything I had trying to find out what was wrong with him. Vet visits, tests, emergency care, exams β I did everything I could because I couldn't just stand by and watch him get worse.
The vet told me Ollie has a brain tumor and needs urgent treatment. This cannot wait. Every seizure puts his body through more stress and could cause more brain damage.
The vet also prescribed phenobarbital to help control the seizures, but the cost of the medication, follow-up visits, tests, and treatment is more than I can afford on my own.
If Ollie doesn't get the care he needs soon, the episodes could become more frequent, more violent, and harder for his body to withstand. He could lose even more control, grow weaker, stop eating, have trouble walking, or suffer a seizure so severe that he might not wake up again.
It hurts me so much to know that, after so many years of loving me unconditionally, money could be the reason I'm unable to save him.
I am not ready to lose my best friend. Please help me save Ollie. ππΎπ
