Healthπͺ Goyito β He crawls every day just to survive and care for his mother
Goyito (Gregorio's nickname) was born with an unusual physical condition. He cannot stand on his legs, and his arms are twisted and bent, which makes even the simplest movements extremely painful and difficult.
Even so, every day Goyito gets up and goes out to work β not to beg, but to survive.
Since he cannot walk, Goyito has to crawl along the ground to get from one place to another. It is the only way he has to work, collect recyclable materials, and earn a few dollars a day.
He does not ask for pity. He works with what life gave him.
π His reality
Months ago, Goyito lost his father. Since then, he carries an even greater responsibility: caring for his mother completely on his own.
Every dollar he earns goes toward food and, most importantly, the medicine his mother needs to survive. His income is very scarce, but his effort is enormous.
When asked why he works so hard, Goyito answers:
"She gave her life for me when I was little. Now it's my turn to give everything for her."
β οΈ A daily risk no human being should have to face
Crawling on the ground every day exposes Goyito to constant dangers:
Open wounds and infections
Intense pain in his arms, spine, and joints
The permanent deterioration of his condition
Health complications that put his life at risk in the long term
Without help, Goyito's body is deteriorating little by little. With support, he can regain his dignity, safety, and hope.
