Children & FamilyMy name is Samuel, and this is my son Jhonata. π
Jhonata was born without both of his arms after severe complications and suspected medical negligence during delivery. What should have been the happiest day of our lives became a tragedy: my wife did not survive, and our son came into the world without his arms.
Since then, I have raised him alone. I have learned to feed him, dress him, bathe him, and care for him with my own hands, all while carrying the pain of having lost my wife and watching my son face such a difficult life.
Jhonata is a strong, intelligent child full of love. Now that he's growing up, he's starting to notice everything. He sees other children run, play, draw, and hug, and he asks me why he doesn't have arms like them. Every time he asks, my soul breaks.
The bullying at school was so cruel that we had to pull him out. Other children mocked him and made him feel less than. No child should endure so much pain and humiliation.
I am a humble father and I work as hard as I can, but I cannot afford the prosthetic arms Jhonata needs to have more independence, go back to school, play, and live with dignity.
I am not asking for luxuries. I just want my son to have a real chance to live like any other child. Any help, no matter how small, can change his life.
Help me give Jhonata the prosthetics he needs. Thank you for listening to our story. ππ
